Three systems installed in a single day, with Habitat families, partners, elected officials and volunteers on site and a goal announced that is deliberately larger than the program could then reach: solar on 10,000 Habitat homes.

Virginia passed its hundredth installed system in July 2026. Across the programs together the count now stands at 218 homes installed or contracted, with families saving an average of $84 a month, reported back to their affiliates for twenty-five years.
